Just dug out the old Monogram 1/24 Ford GTP Mustang in 7 Eleven markings. Want to know if anyone knows of a website that might have photos of the car. Also the decals in the kit are more cream that white. Anyone know if someone makes aftermarket decals for the kit that's still available?
Thanks,
Eric

I don't know of any aftermarket decals available for this kit, as it has been OOP for...well, a long time. Perhaps one of our resident race car guys has additional info?

When looking for other reference info, such as photos, Google really is your friend. A quick search turned up this and this.

It actually took me longer to link these items than it did to find them.

Take a little plastic bag.
Put the decals in it.
Hang them in front of a window for a few weeks.
And the sunlight will bleech them to the original colors.
I've done it a few times and even when you think, I can never use them, ever things come good.

Excellent idea! If you do this, I would try blocking the darker colors (red & blue) with some Post-It notes to keep them from the direct sunlight.

You can coat them with some Microscale liquid decal film to help hold them together after the yellowing is gone.

Eric,
Yes the decal bleeching idea is affective. I have used it several times myself. As for decals, if you want a different scheme. Try Fred Cady decals, or Slixx

Just an FYI: Fred Cady closed up shop in December 2006.

You can still find his decals on eBay every now and then, though.

Guy's,
Thanks for your info. The major problem with the bleaching idea is that my windows have a UV protection film in them. So attaching them to the window (unless outside, where I would have to remember to bring them every night) doesn't work (I've also tried it before and it didn't work then).

Eric,

I have some info and photos from issue 32 of Motor Racing Replica News Mar/Apr 1997. It covers fixing the Monogram Ford Motorsports Mustang GTP. Where do I send it?
