This is my next build. It is the International Transtar 4300 Eagle by AMT. Mostly out of the box with a few scratched items added.

The interior is looking super Dave, one question though, did you put all of the cab and nose panels on that round mat and just pour paint on them??? The finish on the parts looks great, but how did that much paint end up in the background ??

There is a lot of paint on the lazy susan because I have used it for about 10 years for paint. The reason there is so much of the plum on it is because I painted it with rattle can paint by krylon. You get a lot of spray from the large cans.

Thanks Jim. The color is called Rich Plum. from Krylon paints.

No I am going to trim it in gold deals that are kit supplied. I have the hood completed and I am rather pleased with the look.

I will be finishing the gold trim tonight and then move on to the final assembly. I really like this kit.

The only thing that I am having a problem is the hood. The pins are a little too short to keep it in place. I had to make some extensions to put over the pins and enlarged the holes in the frames for the new pins to fit. All in all it is a very straight forward kit and plan to get another one for a future build.

Wow, that gold on the purple looks prettty neat, can't wait to see the hood on it. This is one of those kits that I need to aquire still{I'll spare you guys the list} but I'm going to have get one since a resin caster I know of on a fire engine site has a mid '60s loadstar..., the cool rounded hood version of long ago. I have his Mack MC coe cab and he does great work, so I look forward to when he finishes it...spose I should get a few kits too since I have two of his late model IH hoods for that cab.

Well I like purple and what I could see of the graphics makes a nice combo..nice work on the battery box..

Dave, thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I'll have to keep that in mind when I build mine (planning on a Garrett Freight Lines). I'd also like to do a 9300. Eric of P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works does a nice 9300 hood, as does Jamie of Mo'Luminum.

I'm really liking this build. Great detail.

Your welcome Jim. As soon as I can afford it I want to get back into the resin side also. I think that I will try my hand at casting some parts in this scale also.

Another update. I scratch a set of fenders and a headache rack with locker. I hope to build a flatbed trailer for it later on.

Interesting! Sort of a heavy haul look to it. When I was in the Army, we were always told to make our rack with the U.S. facing down. If it was facing up, it ment that you were dead. What did you use for the blanket?
