I am about to build a Lotus Super 7 Series II, i am considering the Alclad 2 range of prismatic finishes? Does any one have any pictures of how these turn out - i am particularly interested in Green/Gold and Blue/Green. Also could anyone suggest a Tamiya alternative?
Cheers
Lewis

Hi Lewis
Alclad 2's website has pictures of how they look once sprayed.
As for Tamiya alternatives, I don't think they do prismatic colours. They do sell some metallic colours in their rattle cans.
Hope that helps.

You can clear coat it my friend, if for some reason it's not gloss.
Tamiya doesn't do prismatics...I saw someone here rattle can a Tamiya black finish that changed color to a brownish but I've never seen such a can from Tamiya on the shelves here............doesn't mean it don't exist though.
Oh, AlcladII paints require a black Lacquer base but I've readily seen that the Tamiya rattlecan black gloss works great instead. Kit form services has they're DAF XL long cab painted in the blue/green flip and it looks great...need a link to the pic?

Tamiya rattle can gloss black would probably work, since it is a lacquer paint, just like all the other Tamiya rattle cans.
I like the Alclad finishes, but they need to standardize their basecoats. According to Alclad one color needs an enamel black gloss for a base, and the next one needs a lacquer black base. Would be nice if it was standardized so they need one kind, and it would be much less confusing.
