Sweeeeeeeet James, I just love '57 Chevs. Nice work so far on the noisy end as well. You going with the black/white camo?

BTW, if you feel up to it, there will be some mayhem HERE starting in March (shameless self-promotion, I know) and I think I'm gunna need some more help on the Chevy side ! Those American Mopar fiends are outnumbering us at the moment.

Looking forward to your progress here mate.

Cheers, D

Cool, it's gunna be a heap of fun. Sorry but no go with the Ford mate, we're talking manufacturer AND powerplant, and you gotta build one from each camp. I'm thinking there might be a Ford vs hmmmm, something else Group Build to follow on the heels of this one.

Come on James, you don't need a reason to pick up the FIRST new Camaro, but you can certainly use this as an excuse to pick up ANOTHER one !!

Just love your work!!!! Doesn't look like plastic at all!!!

A little off topic maybe, but I thought to qualify for the campaign you had to build one of each??? That is how I understood the addendum rule...

thanks,
for carpet I always use embossing powder., you can pick it up at most dollar stores. i recommend a light color because you can paint it any color you want.

on the seats you mean the pattern? thats a kit decal as for the seats themselves i base in tamiya grey and paint in with artist oils.

Sorry James!

I didn't mean to single anybody out in my question. It was just a public rhetoric thought/note.

Again sorry!

I see you using the Alclad Chrome for Lexan. Any different then the regular Alclad Chrome?

I know it was designed for use on RC bodies, as you paint them from the inside, and have heard some horror stories of people using the Lexan one, and not getting the results expected, or even ruining the parts.

Great build so far btw...love seeing cars and trucks built with a "lived in" look to them instead of the usual show room condition.

I've use both and see no difference at all. I use them over tamiya X-1 black. if anything this one is better its dries in seconds and doesn't rub off at all. I always like to buff it up with a cotton ball.

the only secret to get the results your after is less is more as soon as the shine comes up stop spraying.

decided to go with all black on the body
