Hi guy's.

This is going to be a quick build.
Why?
Next month, 12 july, I'm married 25 years.
25 years ago, we went to church in a Mustang.
So, it's a bit of sentiment.
And the car need to be done by then.

The kit.
Revell 07190.

Boxart.

Bottom.

The suspension a little closer

The exaust.

Engine. And the golden valvecovers seems to be like the real thing.

Dryfit.

I know.
But it's a nice build.
Not to much problems.
So, I think it's possible.

Congrats on your upcoming 25th anniversary you must be doing a lot of things right to keep together this long but my question is I got a 1965 Shelby 350 H model and on the engine they call it a upgraded 4.7 Litre engine putting out 306 BHP, but I'm from the old school where all the engines were called by their cubic inches they never did say Litre back then.

Now back in 1964 and 1965 I really don't remember what size engines Ford had but I do know I used to own a 1960 Ford that had a 292 cubic inch engine that used to always clatter when it idled letting you know it was a 292 because that used to be the only engine I ever heard that sounded that way when it idled kind of like the old 1693 Catipillars that were military engines left over so they put them in semi tractors to see how they would do and when these engines were ideling if you didn't know that this is the way they are you would think they were going to come apart.

Now my question is by any chance would you know how to change the Litre into Cubic Inches oh on my dictionary on my computer it says Litre is how the Canadians spell Litre but what I was wondering is our Liter the same as the Canadians Litre or is Liter for liquids only.

Again I wish you and your wife many more Wedding Anniversarys and thank you for your time.

It seems that a 292 cubic inch is a 4,78 liter engine.
You need to multiply this way, 61.02374409473229 cubic inch is 1 liter.
Normaly we (in Europe, I'm from Belgium) use the term liter only for 2 liter and more.
We say for example a 1,6 engine, meaning a 1,6 liter ore a 1.600 cc.
Muscle cars is in liter. because their big.
And thanks for the congrats.

Early congradulations to you and your wife....that's a nice milemarker for a couple.
Spying the boxart, I'll assume that's not you and you wife there....as I don't expect too many palm trees in your neck of the woods!
...don't forget some scale cans hung off the back bumper and the "Just Married" sign.

Looks really nice so far. I don't suppose this comes in a hardtop?

Thanks for the congradulations.
And the boxart, we (I) look much beter.
And in Belgium it's not such a tradition to put cans on the bumper.

@ jimb, I don't think you'll find a hardtop. Other types, no problem.

Body in primer

This is how it could look..
Still need some work.
Some other colors and a little BMF.

But what the f*** happened?
A seam I missed.
How could I?

So I removed the seam.
Sanded the paint a little.
Put on some primer.
And the paint start to react.
Everything went wrong.
Body in brakefluid and start al over again.

I think it's gone be hard to get it ready on the 12 july

Sorry....I really hate when that happens! I learned a while back to mark the seams off before sanding begins with a pencil or even a marker so I don't forget anything...sand off any permanent marker or the primer will take care of what's left....and the primer reacting with the topcoat during a touch-up...yes, been there hated that too.
I hope you make the deadline bud!

I'm happy that I've a surpriseparty for my wife on the 24th of july.
That gives me a few day's extra to build the Mustang.
So I painted the car again and this is the result.
A nice white Mustang

Without decals.

With decals. It looks as if the paintjob isn't that good, but it's the close-up. And I'm going to polish it.

See you.

Couldn't do much last week.
But still a little progress.

Under the left headlight there is a little spot I need to take care off.
And the grill gets a wash with some black.

And there is a part missing in this kit. the right doorhandle.
Revell would handle it, but I've no time to wait for them, so I bought a second kit

Interior, photo's ain't that good, but you can see progress.

See you later.
