When we stopped for a tank topoff I spied these two across the road so We stopped to snap a few pics to keep and share with you....these would make some nice projects for here in the future-

That '55 Chevy I esp. need for a similar modified project currently on the bench.
The AMT/ERTL kits do not have the small rear window and I don't know if anyone else makes that version cab

The gas prices weren't too bad either..even better in St Louis @ $3.29 a gallon{boy I miss that with it beind $3.89 up here!}

Damian...don't sell yourself short bud...you could do either of those!

JimB- We mostly pulled in for lunch at Micky D's but could sue a topoff too...as soon as we pulled in I started playing Arnold Horshack...."oooh, oooh, oooh we gotta go over there and check those out!!!!".

KSO- Take any '55 chevy truck kit and fill in the rear window with 2 sheets of .020- one with a slightly smaller opening for the inside layer for the window trim line...you could do it. The rims are the old Budd 5 hole/5 bolt 1 1/2-2ton rims and those can be had via modelhaus. This truck has the narrow front wheelbase with no extention of width on the front fenders or axle...the next series up gets that, so it'd be an easy build.

that's an interesting approach, I didn't think of that.

I was thinking of using the included rear window part and cut out the opening then gluing the part in. Maybe use small round styrene rod for the weather strip around the new created opening first, then glue onto the cab part.
Putty and sand until it looks like the sheet metal cab with the smaller window...

... or go with that old 1/48 Revell kit:

KSO, I'm full of normal and waaaay left field ideas...
I like that Revell kit except for the fact she's 1/48...it'd be beautiful if they tooled up a 1/25 scale version!
