I started this project 15 year ago work on it every now and then. It was going to be a street rod. Full fenderd R-D indpendent front and smal block Chevy. No more. Chopped and slammed, flathead and 37 Ford truck wheels. So ill give it a go.

Excellent starting point...why is she sitting a mile high though?
Maybe drop that puppy lower so the top of the rear tires are even with the top of the bed..a good "Z" just past the cab should do ya right for that.
Great and often understated engine choice...I love the old iron and to be honest, hemis are getting overdone{did I say that?!}. My next R/R will be either a straight 8 or possibly a V10 flathead{lincoln}.
I like those rims, where'd you get them from?
Like Joe said, set her up in suede{primer} but do remember that back then tinting the primer{up to 15%} was the norm for different colors or do the random body colored panels for the junkyard salvaged look .

I am working with the frame as it was so it will have to do on this guy. No color choice yet this is just a starter project to get the feel. I have plenty others to get it right. The wheels are from the revell 37 Ford PU.
Finished the front end and moved the motor back and up I am happy with it now.
Thanks guys

I just started to add a little color.

I'll finish the firewall and the floor boards next. And then throw some paint at the body old and worn I think.

Got the firewall and floor boards roughed in. A old tank part came in handy.
The story behind this car is it was started in one era and finished in another that is why I left some of the old paint on rear end. Maybe started by the father and finished bye the son.

More parts in place, headers, carbs, grill and working on the radiator.

The body color is still up in the air.

Nice work so far.

For inspiration here's a couple of photos I took a few years back. Check out the shifter, oh I know it's a car not a pick up but hey the fronts the same.

A little update I cut out the grill and added new bars also 36 ford headlights. It looks like it might hit the beach I'm thinking a base with some sand.
Thanks everyone for looking.
