Hi Guys
I know I've been a bit quiet recently, but it's been a busy time at home and work.
Here is a little project that three of us are doing down the club. It's the Revell Sammy Swindell Sprint Car from 1997, the other two are doing different cars from the same era. These will be displayed together on a display stand when at a show.
So here's a few pics for you.
Mick

Well now, a little more work has been done and the progress is steady. Most of the painting has been done now with just the decals, detailing work and final assembly required. Mind you, the driver figure still needs to be finished and painted yet. My only gripe with this kit is that the front wheels cannot be posed in a steered position, as is the usual thing with the American model manufacturers. So here's any photo for you for now.

Okay. The building of the Sprint Car is now done. All that needs to be done is a little weathering and the display stand for the model.
Once these are all finished, proper photos will be taken and posted. But for now, here's a few I took on my phone.

Work has started on the base now.
These photos were taken last night, so since then, gouges have been made in the wall, the whole thing has had a coat of grey primer and the wall a couple of coats of white paint. This is the tester for the larger stand to display all three cars on at shows, but it's also for displaying my car at home.

Just an outstanding build. I remember those sprint cars from the 90's. Bought a few but never got around to building them.
The paint job looks smooth as silk, and with a great shine.

Almost there now.
Car construction, painting and weathering is finished. The base is basically finished, just a little more weathering and the edge of the base to be painted.
Another one done ready for Telford.
Finished photos to come soon.
