Where there any kits ever made of the 124 Spyder? I know there aren't any US companies that did. Any Euro companies?

I believe ESCI made a 124 sedan (as a racecar),but I have no knowledge of a Spyder. Back in the day I used to try to fix them.

Hi Sven
That's the FIAT 131 sport rally car

Regarding the FIAT 124 spider in 1/24 scale, some years ago here in Italy a car magazine sold a die cast model. Now you coluld find it on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.it/1-24-Model-Car-4ruote-FIAT-124-Sport-Spider-1967-/310291578035

otherwise you can find another model here

http://www.ivmodel.com/pag2.php?id=905

I don't know if there are resin kits of it

cheers

Thanks to everyone for their help. That one for 130 Euros is a bit too much for me but the one on ebay looks like it might be doable. Problem is I can't read Italian. I've owned a couple of 124 Spyders and loved the cars. However they are a bit fragile. Hope to get another someday.

I have a pair of models of the same series and I can say that on average they're very nice indeed. In my opinion you could improve them adding some scratch details

If you need some tanslation helps, send me a PM

...did you break that back seat?....I was drooling over an '82 and actually thought it "had" a backseat till I happened across a Fiat forum and found out otherwise.

It had a back seat.....for my guitar case! I had a bright orange 69 and then a maroon 72. I was a kid back then and owning a real Italian sports car was more than my poor wallet could handle back then, even if it was just a Fiat. I just fell in love with that body.

I like the looks too...I keep spying a red '72{not '82- sorry} on ebay for $1600 but it doesn't fire though.....maybe when the kids grow up and move out.......
