I've wanted to build the kit, and the box shows a yellow body with a black interior. I've looked up the GM colors and got those, but one question: was the choice of SS colors, inside and out, same as the other models or not? I prefer to paint the car in other than yellow.

The kit comes molded in white, so you can paint it any color you want.
Good website to go to for period correct paint colors on cars is:
http://paintref.com/paintref/index.shtml
Just enter your search parameters at the top and it will take you to a listing of the paint for what you enter. Or search through miles of paint chip charts.

Actually I did find a similar site called "Oldrides", which has a library section. The problem is whether the SS model used the same color schemes as the other Impala models. I guess the answer is yes.

I just finished the 66 Impala and used the paint code "M" Aztec Bronze came out very nice. I got the paint from www.automotivetouchup.com The paint has to be clear coated, I used lacquer.
