I have been unsuccesful in trying to find the wheelbase dimension for a 1932 Model B Ford Pick-up/ Can anyone point me to a source for 1930's trucks basic dimensions? Thanks.

A final question.
Many sources suggest looking at the GAZ AA for reference to the Ford Model AA. My question. I have seen many photos that "appear" to show the rear wheel set on the Ford Model AA truck as single wheeled. It is difficult fom the available pictures to determine if that is true
The GAZ AA sources consistently show dual wheeled rear wheel sets.
Did the Ford Model AA also have rear dual wheels? I suspect it is so but I'd like someone else's opinion.

In regards to the rear dual wheels (working from a fading memory here - still looking for the correct book ) - dual wheels were available as an option on the Ford lighter models, 1 & 1.5t, but fitted standard on the B's. Will continue shuffling through my books and find a proper answer.
For an early 30's vehicle I would assume single rear wheels to be more common (USA) - the GAZ AA was expected to traverse far rougher terrain and overloading was to be expected so dual rear wheels were fitted as standard

If you need better drawings/plans of the chassis (in fact the entire vehicle) look for GAZ AA-AAA (I have heaps of info/links on this vehicle just yell and it shall be supplied).

It is called Engines of the Red Army and just newly added is an site for
Engines of the Wehrmacht. Both deal with armour but under the sections listed there are Russian or German trucks and foreign trucks. The author is a former military modeler who is also a commercial illustrator. He has come back to only the illustrator part but seems to enjoy it

I believe I have stumbled across The Answer. The Ford Model AA was offered with two wheel bases. The short WB 131.5 inch and the long WB 157 inch.
The short WB "appears" to be single wheeled rear axle ,light delivery trucks, panel trucks etcetera. The long WB was offered for heavier duty trucks, dump trucks, stake body etcetera and "appears" to be dual wheeled rear axle.

I have seen long and short one axle, as well as long and short double-axle. I think it was just a matter of choice.

Brian - I think you have got a bit mixed-up as Will is referring to single/dual wheel not single/dual axle.

I have one more and probably final question. Was the 1936 Ford Cabriolet Convertible the first Ford model to use steel disc wheels ( not brakes) to replace the spoked wheels? I have tried to find a definitive answer for this but after weeks of searching at the library and online it is the best year guesstimate I have..

Although cars aren't my area of interest - I did a quick hunt of some online brochures and all the 35' ads show spoked wheels and all the 36' ads show steel:
