I'm awestruck and inspired by randyd's Rat Rod Wrecker build, and I'm wondering if others are too.
There aren't any group builds going here on Auto Modeler right now, although there is a proposal floating out there for German Cars, and Chevy vs. Hemi and Demolition Derby are hinting at returning again soon. The variety of roughed-up and crazy-painted demo derby cars was awesome too!
I don't know how tight the definition of a Rat Rod is. (Even Wikipedia is unclear on it), so the group build wouldn't have tight rules either. There could be many like me that want to build a rod, and these rat rods lately sure are cool to see.
There are so many styles and options that we'd have a wide array by the build's end! I imagine modelers who don't like scratchbuilding could build a kit hot rod or make modifications to "rat" it out. That would be allowed.
What else would you want to see?
Who's interested?
I'm committed with campaigns until April 2013, but if I ran this, I'd think July 2012 to July 2013. Any thoughts on that?
Rock on!
-Sean.

Hey, thanks, D! I knew I could count on your support.
Another thought I had is that old partial builds would be allowed, up to say 20%, assuming significant work remains for this build. My thought is that people might have an abandoned kit on the back of a shelf that could now be chopped, lowered, panels cut away, engine beefed-up, details added, and otherwise resurrected as a rat.
