Hi Travis

Don't worry, there are many guys here in the site who can help you

First of all, what kind of paint have you used for your first experiments ?

If you have doubts about paint dilutions look here

http://www.little-cars.co.uk/workbench49.pdf

Those are the thinner that you can use and those that you can't

If i were you I'd start to paint with AB using Tamiya acrilyc paints diluted with their thinner ( X20A white top ) with a ratio of 50% paint and 50% thinner. Tamiya paints are quite easy to use and you can obtain good results with them.

Before to paint models make some trials on plastic sheets. That can help you to get confidence with your new tool

30 psi is maybe too high, 15 could be enough in my humble opinion.
Anyway if you can't get it to flow out, it could it mean that paint isn't diluted enough. You should mix the paint with the thinner with a ratio of 50/50 or more (F.E. 60% thinner, 40% paint make some trials before). You should shake very well your compound before to fill the tank of your AB, then you'll have to apply several thin coats on the model. Don't try to paint the whole kit with a singular thick coat, that coud be ruin all your job

It isn't a modeller tutorial, but it doesn't matter, technique is the same
