This is the plastic model by Moebius "The Dark Knight Bat-Pod" in 1/25. Since this is an actual operable and ridable bike in 1/1, I posted this build here.

A small box at 9.5" X 6" X 1.5". Similar size to some of the larger Dragon figure set boxes or a Trumpeter Soviet Aerosan box.

Assembly begins with the Frame halves (22, 23) and Engine part (24). The next step is the assembly of the Front Chassis parts (15, 34, 35) and some modification needs to be done for proper fit and alignment.

There is a gap between the two subassemblies. This gap doesn't allow the key to engage the proper position between the (Frame) and (Front Chassis). The stance of the completed vehicle will be off and the gap visually noticeable.

Some drilling and trimming will solve this:

I cut and sanded smooth approximately 1/32" (0.8mm) material from the end of the suspension pivot peg of part (23). This peg is 1/8" diameter.

With a 1/8" bit, drill out the Front Chassis Connector Tube, Upper and Lower Half parts (34, 35) after gluing together and after the glue has set. These parts want to split while inserting the pivot peg part (23) if it's not drilled first.

After I did this mod, I noticed the assembly was easier and the keyway registered properly. And no more gap

Nice! Hopefully someone releases a Catwoman aka Selina Kyle aka Anne Hathaway for this bike

part (27) Right Side Brace doesn't look exactly like the illustration in the I-Sheets.

I didn't glue part (29) Shock Absorber to parts (20, 21) Brackets. (The joint as arrowed in the picture)
This will allow articulation of the shock part (29) for easy painting later. Cleaning the parting line between each peak and valley of the coil spring detail isn't necessary. Engine Cover part (2) will later conceal this

There are three spots that could use some putty filling. These places are arrowed:

The two hollow spots on the top of the Large Air Tank part (9) and the middle joint spot on the Left Side Brace part (28).

These two spots are ejector pin marks on the front of part (26) Left Foot Rest/Radiator.

I like it so far. Nice details and parts.
I bought a couple more and already planning kitmash projects using this kit.
There are a lot of fragile round tubular parts to clean without breaking

The battery pack detail is a little shallow and flat on the model frame part.
On line prototype images reveal parallel battery packs on both sides of the frame just forward of the rear wheel.

I roughly blocked in the details which will be wired later

There was something tubular running horizontal in this area on the prototype. I visually estimated and stretched some sprue and glued it on

OH oh...

Heads up with the tires and rims. I read what RotorheadTX (from another modeling forum) already clearly described about the tire damage that can occur if you don't sand the ribbing off of the outside diameter of both rims.

The I-sheets told me to insert Front Wheel part (31) into the Tire part (48)

It's a tight fit and this happened

I filed off the ribs that are molded onto the outside diameter from both rims

No damage and a more realistic final look

This is something I saw so I had to fix on my model. You really have to look close to spot it but the Front Munition Cluster boxes are hollow.

left side

right side

The holes (arrowed) were punched with a standard paper hole puncher.
After the holes were punched, the Munitions Cluster parts were placed face up onto the styrene sheet. A sharpened pencil was traced around the parts then cut out

After cutting these out they were cemented in place. Don't forget to trim out some material for the CO2 Cartridge parts registration tabs

The I-Sheets describe the main guns as 40MM Cannons.
The way they are molded make them look too solid and chunky so I drilled mine out at the flash suppressor muzzle

I first used a sewing needle for a centered pilot hole for the 1/16" drill bit to follow

The flash suppressor muzzle detail was then shaped out with a No. 11 blade

After painting these will look much more detailed. However I have seen some delicately painted without the drilling out and they look good. Just depends on your own style

The molded headlight lens detail is cast together with the black plastic of the Munitions Cluster.
They can be painted to the desired effect because it's so small at 3/32" (2 mm).
I couldn't however let this go and decided to drill it out for a clear lens.

The same 1/16 drill bit was used and then a micro rat tail file cleaned it up to the final cavity shape and size.
I needed dome shaped clear things to represent the headlights.
The lenses I found are casting tabs from the clear parts sprue of the Revell '66 Chevelle Station Wagon kit# 85-2890
They'll be cut and shaped at the dotted lines until they fit the look

stance noun ˈstan(t)s
a : a way of standing or being placed : posture
b : intellectual or emotional attitude
Synonyms: attitude, carriage, poise, posture, station
from: merriam-webster.com

While dry fitting some of the parts together I played around with the stance.
This can be adjustable depending on the position that the Rear Wheel Assembly is inserted over the Chassis Assembly peg part.

I don't remember what kit this was from but it's 1/76 - 1/72 and it was in the spare parts box

This replicates something close to what the prototype CO2 plumbing looks like.
This part is glued to the CO2 Cartridges parts so they can be removed as a separate subassembly for painting

The hand grips and control details required a lot of web searching for the prototype in 1/1. It's tiny up there I know and I've seen some builds with cables running from the stock kit box parts and they look fine.
But, I couldn't let this go. I had to try and replicate this to some degree of accuracy because I admire the design of this vehicle so I wanted to make something cool with mine

This sensor thing is not included in the kit so I made one with styrene and stretched sprue

The drilling and most of the work was done before mounting them to the handle bars

The Hand Grips should be glued to the Handle Bars in a position looking more like the front box art image instead of how the I-sheets indicate.
The "brake" and "clutch" levers should point slightly inward and the whole grip part pointed slightly downward.
This will conflict with the shape of the casted parts and their joining points.
This may be the reason why Moebius didn't include a Riding figure because the loose design of the fitting of the; Foot Rests, Knee Rests, Seat, Elbow Pads, Handle Bars, and Hand Grips.
Or maybe the figure is what a lot of model builders with this kit was waiting for before they start their Bat-Pod to fit the Rider in properly

This is what I came up with using various wire, solder, stretched sprue, and reference from the internets...

notice the thumb control buttons included

another I-Sheet error alert:

When installing the Arm Guard parts (4) and (5), follow the text instructions which are correct and not the illustrated picture printed in the I-Sheets.
Picture above clarifies this

Spiderman vs. The Dark Knight?!?

I sprayed black primer on this part because there was mixed materials and wanted to see it all 'tied together'. It was a hot day so I left it in a shady spot to air dry. I forgot about it and left it outside for 1 night and already this morning ...

Spiderman vs. The Dark Knight?!?

Great !!
Spider vs Bat... Which one eats the other ?

In France we say " Chassez le naturel, il revient au galop",
literally : "Banish the nature of something and this nature will come back quickly" ;
the English equivalent sentence is "leopard cannot change its spots"
