Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could point me to a source for some rims and tires that I am looking for. I'm working on a few WWII era trucks and would like to find some of the 30's and 40's style five hole, five lug rims, preferably with tires. I can make them myself but it'd be so much easier if I could find some good examples somewhere.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

I was going to suggest the Italeri Opel Blitz, but I think they are six spoke wheels

Your best bet for 1930s & 40s wheels & tires is the Italeri Opel Blitz. They are a 8-lug, 5-hole wheel. There really isn't much in heavy trucks before 1970 in 1/25 scale. I've been looking for some 1950s wheels & tires for a Ford F8 tractor I want to do, and there really isn't much.

Samkidd,
What 1/35 or 1/32 scale kits have these type wheels? I'd like to see a picture example of what you're looking for

Hi,
If you are thinking about the WWll 2 1/2 t CCKW it uses 6 lug 6 slot rims. Missing Link Resin casts a nice set of 6 lug 6 slot from the 50-70's for about $6 that would work. I'm sure if you talk to Kevin Lutz he would sell you a set to do a 6x6.
There is an Int'l dump truck that uses military NDT tires. If you ask around I'm sure you could find someone willing to part with a set or two. Both of these are 1/25,
Kit Form Services (KFS) does a set of NDT (Brits call them 'bar grip' I believe) 1/24 scale in resin. See the website.
If you are doing 1/2-3/4t size trucks I've used the wheels from the R-M 2 1/2t with some success on the smaller trucks.
There is a guy from Australia on Ebay that does a hardcab GMC that has a nice set of wheels.I think the cab & fenders better represent an Int'l M6 (JMHO).I have one and it's an ok casting.
I hope this helps as you weren't real specific about what trucks you want to model. If you chase around the net there is a lot of stuff available
