James, thanks for getting this up and running. I don't think I mentioned in the review the kit appears to represent a KZ1000 C model, 1980 or 1981. Later models would need the different engine and side plate.
Also, the black plastic in this kit seems to take a bit longer to react to the Tamiya extra thin cement I am using. Maybe others have had this issue.
