Here's something very modest from me. I decided to try something else other than modern vehicles. This is a Zis is 151 Russian 6x6 truck that was built after World War II for the Russian Army. The scale is 1/35. I played a little with the photo shots:

See you still haven't fixed the height of the steering wheel, eh.

Looks really good. I like the photography. Very cool. I think if they were in black & white it would be hard to tell if this was a real truck or not.

The height of the steering wheel gives it away, eh.
If it was lowered down closer to the dash, then it would be where a normal steering wheel is positioned.

Overall, I think this is a great job. The weathering looks just right for me, and I agree that if these pics were in black and white, it would be hard to tell that this was a model. Yeah, the steering wheel is high, but if you photograph it from the right angles, it would be hard to tell. I think that you really hit the nail on the head with the overall concept.

Thanks. I will get around to correcting the steering wheel. I had hope the instruction was much clearer when I built it. Did not think too much of it until I had put it all together. So it might be hard to correct but I will give it a try without doing too much damage.

Thank you. Btw, I made the correction last night. I had to pull away the door and take a pair of small nail scissors and snip off the steering wheel rod. That was my only alternative without damaging the entire cab. Then I had to clip away the extra length to reduce the height and glue the steering back again. Will post a pic later. Hope you will be satisfy now Graham.

I was looking at some reference photos at the steering wheel and it looks pretty high to me. What do you guys think?
This was one of the reasons I had not changed the position. But I already have on mine now.

Wonderful job Charles, both modeling and photography. When I first opened this thread I thought the first photo was a reference of what you were going to build
