Just a thought guys and gals. Would there be any interest in an off road vehicle campaign this year? Not necessarily four wheel drive...or even all wheel drive, but just vehicles that can be or are driven off road.
This could include hundreds of cars and trucks around the world. From American Jeeps and monster trucks, to European rally cars (Porsche, Fiat, Mini Cooper, etc.) to Japanese cars fitted with fender flares and off road tires (Subaru,Toyota,Nissan etc.). Basically anything with an engine and rubber tires dressed up with decals and dirt.
Heck, Even the British version of Top Gear had a Volvo station wagon driving across the plains of Africa in an episode.....that kind of thing?
So, any interest in something like that? What say you?

Peter, that sounds awesome! I've wanted that kit since it came out.
Matt, you know you want to. Build something in honor of Murphy.
If this actually takes off, this is what I'd like to build:
Hope we can get some more interest. This would be a good one to include our armor brothers as well as some scratch building and sci-fi folks.

Hey Hermon, we are expecting to get a couple of roads here in Australia this year, maybe, so everything we drive here is off-road!
I might see what I can dredge up if this gets going, great idea mate.
Cheers, D

Herman,
Would something like the Menzi Muck be acceptable ?
YouTube link - Menzi Muck A91
Has 4 wheels and plays in the dirt - might just be the thing to break me out of my modelling slump .
Cheers.

Damian, since one of the requirements would have to include being "dirty", you could probably get by with putting on some roller skates and taking a selfie as your entry.
KSO, this cannot be a legit group build unless you are part of it. Even if you don't actually build anything, I expect you to jump in and praise my entry at every opportunity.
Roger, not only would that thing be acceptable, but it's probably one of the coolest things I've seen in a while.
It would be great to see someone build one of those big Australian road tractor train things too.

In layman's terms, if it gots tires and ain't afraid of gettin' dirty it's all good with me.
So far I count seven people interested. Let's give it a few weeks and see what Master James of the Imperial AutoModeler throne says. With luck we just might be kickin' up dirt with a new group build soon.
