The guys over at AMT are planning on reissuing the 1/25 American-LaFrance AeroChief:
It says it will be available in January 2016, but we all know how that goes. This could possibly be a prelude to the LadderChief & Pumper reissues. One can only hope!
This kit represents a 1970-74 American-LaFrance 1000-Series. It can be backdated to a 1960-69 900-Series with a little bit of cosmetic work. Doing an open cab 900-Series would require some surgery.

Do I want it? Yes
Is my stash to big? Yes
Is it becoming increasingly more difficult to find space for more kits? YES.
Will I by it anyway? Absolutely
Thanks for the heads up James.

Not a problem, Jesper.
I have one in the stash already, so I probably won't be purchasing this reissue. I'm hoping to convert the 1000-Series closed cab into a 900-series open cab similar to this 1964 Syracuse FD unit:
It's actually an open cab with the plywood top added to it.
Jesper, I don't know if there were ever American-LaFrance units in Denmark, so what type of apparatus are used in Denmark? I've only been to Denmark once back in 1987.

Hi James
Way back there was Ford, Opel, Chevy(A lot of those). There was even a Danish firetruck, the Triangel which was in production from 1920'ish to the late 50's.
Later Bedford, Volvo, Mercedes and MAN.
Today Mercedes, Scania and MAN. Perhaps Volvo as well.
Can't recall ever hearing of a American LaFrance in Danish service.

Now, this is a great kit and news. I'll have to keep a look out for it.
