Model Factory Hiro have come through in a BIG way for classic M/C model enthusiasts. Recently released , and produced to order, I pulled the trigger today. Not cheap, and model forums and websites are gearing up. Some build activity already on BM ,with pitfalls already being discovered. I love M/C's and the Brough was kinda the 'White Whale' for me growing up ,I can count on one hand the times I've stood beside one. I still remember my Dad correcting me on the proper pronunciation of 'Brough" (Bruff).Thanks Dad.

Any way the kit is on the way. I'll do a parts layout and pre-build review here if that's allowed.

So I got this. And it is a short run style of kit. I wont bother with reposting the pics that are in the links provided in my first post.

There is a lot of thin seam cleanup to be done on all of the parts. All of the parts are very well presented , in moulding and in packaging many in re-sealable clear plastic envelopes. Chrome parts are plated on trees , individually sealed. Tires are well represented and be aware this kit is representative of the T.E. Lawrence museum example. This means the front tire is of the same tread as the rear tire. A trifle , but some builders may want a ribbed front tire as shown on many B.S. production machines. This is where the builder can have some fun, as B.S. bikes were hand -built, to customer spec so many variations of equipment are available to personalize your model. As far as the front tire goes , my Italeri 1/9 Norton Manx front Avon tire rolled onto the models front rim nicely. This tire will give the look of many B.S. front wheels, if so desired.

Builds are ongoing, problems and issues are arising and being dealt with. A tool and material list is growing , these will be the supplies needed to facilitate the models completion. I will update as needed here.

My own example will be a number of months away from starting , but I can tell you it is on my mind! Very happy with my kit, I strongly recommend the kit , but be aware you will need your A game to get this done properly. If you have any specific questions please post or pm me further.

Hey Steve, about the same $ as the new Pocher 1/4 Ducati Panigale. Never seen the "Bruff" so can't comment/compare the 2 side by each. I'm presently searching the "world" for new bolts to replace what in my opinion is the WORST part of the kit...those AWFUL Phillips head screws...!! All that detail and # of parts and they chuck those ruddy things in. Ya I know it's cheaper, but for the price of this kit you'd think they would get one of the main building components correct...SHEESH...!!!

Ya well there never will be a 'perfect' kit. I have found a number of areas where more info will be needed and one that has to be wrong. All of them piffles. Still a ways off for me , just examining the instructions at this point.
Good luck with the bolts , shouldn't be too hard to find them.

Ya, you would THINK it wouldn't be too hard to find bolts...BUT...let me tell you that those crafty buggers at Pocher used odd size screws in the kit, so finding replacements that fit without having to re-bore/tap/drill out the holes is gonna be FUN...!!! The harder part is trying to find a decent price on 0,00,000 washers to replicate the shoulder bolts used on the real bike. I have a whack of diff size cap screws coming from China as they were the only place I could find that had a good selection at cheap prices. I'm into this kit for a LOT already and haven't even put one lousy part together...! All good tho as I LOVE Ducs, and this will be a corker at over 20" long...!
