Hi everyone, I guess I am a newbie around here. My name is Calvin and I am an Industrial Designer, a wheel designer to be exact. While in school, I specialized in car design. Anyway, I have been talking with Jim for a bit now and will start contributing to Automodeler with reviews, features and keeping the threads fresh.

I guess any thread without any pics is useless so here are some of the cars I have built in the last few months. These are but a very small sample of builds I have done in the last couple years. Let me know what you guys think.

I am not a car guy but looking at your models - WOW! Your finishes are incredible, and your overall paint jobs, I see why car modelers are so devoted to your passion. They are splendid! The hub caps of the Porsche (are they still called hub caps?) are beautiful and add so much to the visual treat.

Your photography is also top-notch.

Getting a decent pic is actually very easy. I have a stack of oversized paper that were left over from a calendar print I did awhile back. Anyway, I just use the back of them and create a photobooth. One light on each side of the photo and a tripod with my DSLR. I actually replaced my warm light to the left a few days ago so now I have 2 natural 5000K lights.

I cannot find in my island bulbs bigger than 1200 lumens (cold). I need to set a battery of lights to match your output. And probably I need a better camera than my Samsung phone.
