Looks great so far! I love these when they are slammed to ground. Something super cool about custom aircooled vws.

Always thought the Karmann Ghia was a cool looking VW. Looks like your paint is nice & smooth.

Hi all well i ruined the rear window, got glue all over it, then panicked tried to get it off had glue on my fingers and got some on the body.

It's not perfect but will have to do

I think I will be able to hide some of the glue marks on the body one mark is under the door handle so when fitted hopefully it won't notice and the other I think I can polish out.

The Karmann looks great- especially that paint job-- what kind of paint did you say it was? Go to the local beauty store and buy some fine and buffing finger nail fiber boards, buff that window out and give it a coating of Future (Pledge with Future here in the States, Kleer elsewhere) and dip the window in it-- let the excess drip off and let it dry under a cover (to keep the dust off). It will look better than new-- and deserving of that great paint job. Beautiful work for sure so far. Can't wait to see the completed model.

No such thing as a " bad modeler gene". We all face challenges-- put it on the shelf for a few days and come back to it-- it probably won't look the same. Also, persistence and ingenuity are key-- try and figure out why the door fit is bad, and do something about it. If you have too, do some cutting scraping and sanding, be as careful as you can, but you can also always repaint if necessary. Hang in there! It's a great model and you've done great work-- don't give up now!
