I know this is old news, but AMT/Round2 has reissued the White-Freightliner SD COE kit:

The kit builds out into a 1971-73 White-Freightliner WFT 6342T, and has a Cummins NH250 engine. These single drive tractors were very common in the 1970's for most major trucking companies due to the restrictive length laws at the time. It wasn't uncommon to see these tractors pulling 28ft doubles.

I've been seeing a lot of them starting to make a come back out on the road, mainly short haul and farming apps. I've seen them doing OTR runs also.

One of the reasons in talking to the owners is the cost vs. modern rigs. It's seem to be cheaper, plus they aren't using DEF, which is a pain.

ABF, CRST, UPS, Fedex, and other short haul companies used them for inter-city use because of they're short wheel base and getting into tight dock ares.

See ya in the funnies.........
