Checked the conversion charts but can't find an alternate to the Tamiya TS-51 (Racing blue) spray can. Looking for either Vallejo model air or Lifecolor if possible.

Hello Luciano,

Have you look at Testor? Vallejo has Racing blue, however it is in a "candy" color used for R/C bodies.

Here's the link:

Thanks Brian I'll look into that one, it's for a 1970 Rob Walker Lotus.

Testers is very hard to get this side of the pond so is a no go, also due to a reaction I get I can't use enamels.

Anytime Luciano. I forgot you were in the U.K., getting that shipped there could be an issue. Laws and all.
Reaction to enamels? Odd, not heard that one before. First time for everything I guess.

Here's another place you might look....

Don't let the site fool you, they have hobby paints also. That's where I got my compressor, 3 airbrush set from.

Sorted got some Zero paints colour matched Rob Walker Racing Blue on order from Hiroboy.com. These are lacquer based so should be ok, I hope.

The reaction is to the fumes not the paint itself, I can open a tin/jar of enamal whilst in the middle of a field and within a couple of minutes I have the most incredible headache. No amount of ventilation or masks help.

Good to hear you got the paints all settled up Luciano.

I'm wondering if you have a PFC intolerance or are hypersensitive to the chemicals used in enamels.

I've heard of some people having that reaction happen to them in a closed space, but not to the extreme that you have.

Anyways, good luck with the build.
