Hi all another update, got some primer on (its halfords plastic primer) Ive used it loads of times and never had this reaction before

It's on both the doors (which were part of the body till I cut them out, so all the same plastic and yet the car body seems unaffected

Seems strange will strip the doors and re spray them, hopefully that will correct it.

HNY Ken!
I remember having one of Revell's 1/8 scale car kits when I was but a teenager. Massive models with the potential for great detailing. The plastic, IIRC, was a bit weird though.
Perchance the release agent they use on the molds may be affecting the paint. Did you give the kit a nice warm bath in soapy water before painting to remove all the release agent etc?
Are you using enamel or water based paints? (I'm not familiar with Halford's).

A shame about the paintjob.
My dad build this one, way back when it was first released. I still have it along side my builds.

Frustrating to see the seats doors and footwell all molded as one piece in a kit of this scale/price.
Nice solution though Ken

Hi all, here is what you get for the coil springs in this kit,

after hunting through my springs collection I found these

I'm a bit disappointed they don't show up more

I'd do away with the handles Ken, and claim that they're now hidden as part of the gull wing customization!

Hi all been adding some detail from all the reference pics I've got they all show this with servo assisted breaks, this is what the kit supplies

So I acquired this off my missus favorite tipple (she is Scottish)

After a little sanding and a crease in the right place

I've no idea where a lot of these pipes go as I've not got enough ref pics so I've guesstimated
