Amazing factoid: Despite Datsun putting very nice alloy rims on the rally team (real magnesium), it took eight years selling (1970 to '78) For mighty Nissan to equip Z-Cars with a factory 'mag' or rally type wheel, leaving dealers free to fit all kinds of gawdawful slot mags an "Dukes" style rims for an extra profit! What do you do with your old Corvair/Falcon 4-lug pattern rims? Put them on the poor Z-Car. Some people even though the Appliance alloys were stock! A problem once at concours judging!

That's interesting.

Overseas, the Wantanbes were probably the most popular for the car.
People tend to get rid of the OEM Fairlady wheels.
