By no means do I consider this a model of excellence, nor a IPMS winning entry, but rather a build that pushed my abilities to the next level. I'm more then satisfied with the paint finish, the cockpit scratch building and detailing, as well as the detailing in the engine/transmission bay.
On the other hand, there are errors, and most certainly room for continued improvement in all areas of plastic car modeling.
My concept from day one was to display the build in an enclosed case with the rear deck off and to the side, so that the engine bay detail is clearly visible to those viewing my build without having to remove the cover, and then the rear deck. With that premise I was never really focused on making sure that the rear deck fit perfectly. In the frontal picture, you can see that the deck is slightly cocked to one side as it's not quite down into it's proper position.
