Reji Model have released a conversion set for the Esci/Revell/Italeri 1:24 Ford Escort Mk.II kit to model the Ford Escort RS1800 that finished 2nd in the 1979 Monte Carlo Rally.

Thanks for the news Rowan. I've not come across this company before and although not that interested in the Escort itself, by seeing this I've now looked at their website and seen some other things of interest.
