Airfix are to re-release two VW kits around May as part of thier Quickbuild range.

Well, I am a huge VW fan, especially the Beetle, but I'm not going to spend my hard earned buck in these "toys".
Airfix what are you doing? Improving the aircraft range on the expense of the auto modeler? How in one side you go for the best and on the other side you go for the worst? Yin and Yang I suppose?!

I'm in the same boat. I understand there is a market for this stuff just like the Toon Tanks and all the egg-shaped kits, but it would also be nice if occasionally we got the standard version of some items along with the oddities. I would love for Hasegawa to add a Dormobile or Doka to their lineup of VW buses, never mind exotics like ambulances or fire trucks.
