I've been watching the Mecum Auto Auctions this past week on MSNBC Cable after the ballgames, and I was just glued to my TV as the cars coming up for auction were mainly USA brands from the 1950's-1990's, and covered everything from pickup trucks, to pure stock, to sports cars, and even some Hot Rods. Prices really varied depending on what was being auctioned off.

I thought of D. when a mid 1950's pure 100% restored Chevy 210 came up, as well as a few 1956-57 Bel Airs with a ton of mods.

Then two 1970-2 Triumph TR-6s. One went for $12,000 and the other for 18,500. I really loved that car, but never got to own one. But at that price my wife would have killed me for sure.

I just jumped on the website, what a goldmine for reference images.

For example:

Cheers, D

D,
Thought that you would love the site with all the pictures. The only issue that I can see is that what's shown on their site changes per auction.

Lot's of gorgeous cars at Mecum. That '57 is just amazing.

My dad once borrowed a bordeaux Triumph TR-6, from his boss, sometime in the early 70's. He took my brother and I for a drive, to my grand parents house. My brother in the passengers seat and me and my teddy bear in the "back" between the seats. Safety wasn't really an issue back then.

Bummer! snipping tool could be a way to go about it. Not top quality images, but for reference, it should be enough.

If I wasn't going camping and four wheeling this week/weekend then I'd be going to Barrett-Jackson Northeast instead. https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Docket/Northeast-2019/Collector-Cars/318656d4-436e-4502-9ab4-ac7b9b171b90/06-26-2019/06-29-2019

Jasper,
I love the Microsoft Snipping Tool. I can copy anything including stopping Vids on You Tube and copy something I think is super important.

As far as sharpness goes, it's really pretty good. Here's a pickup truck that I used my Snipping Tool from the Mecum site. The image is 1511x855.PNG. I converted it to 1280x754 JPEG. Then uploaded it to Image Shack. Then using the direct link pasted the pic here. Looks pretty good all things considered.
