David, you’re a modeler, you will have a tube of CA sitting around for such running repairs!

Well, I do keep a tube of CA in the first aid kit in the back of the Jeep.

And just how big is that tube of CA?

I forget, I hope it was the industrial size one.

Just got home from there a couple hours ago. Ran a trail yesterday that was absolutely phenomenal. I'll post up some "weathering" pics later, maybe a video too. LOL

Look forward to those images, it's great to get out and put your rig through its paces now and again.

Cheers, D

Thanks D., never get out on the trails often enough.

I will pat myself on the back for one particular part of Saturday's trail though. There is a two step ledge that I almost took the bypass on because all the rigs I had been able to watch had failed to make the second step.

Turns out that I was one of four Jeeps to make both ledges and one of two to do it without launching the front end into the air. Two of the others were the trail leader and tailgunner, the other was the tailgunner's daughter, all had run that trail multiple times before. There were 16 guest Jeeps on the run. I was just the right combination of wheelbase, gearing and traction (locking diffs on both axles). The trail leader's rig and mine are similar in wheelbase, suspension setup and tire size, he was the other that made it without taking air.

I'm hoping my friend's wife posts the video of the climb soon, but for now here is my Jeep climbing the second step.

And the trail leader's on the first step (note how clean it is underneath after being on the trail for 5 hours at this point of the day)

I put some mud pictures in the weathering techniques thread.
