Gabriel (Szmann) introduces us to Alexandra Pasca, a new modeler (also author, painter and photographer) from Romania, with a unique painting style.
Check out her beautifully finished VW Beetle based on the Italeri 1/24 kit HERE .
I hope this is the first of many more as it brings a new perspective on our great hobby!
Cheers, D

Gabriel,
Thanks for posting Alexandra Pasca's VW Bug. The paint scheme surely reminds me of the late 1960s, and Flower Power.
And D, I never did forgive Joplin for having a Porsche 356 painted like that. There's just some things that are done.

Nice paint work, but Italeri needs to reconsider selling that kit. The head lights alone are a nightmare.

David, Alexandra and I were indeed talking a lot at the time about Janis's Porsche, but as Joel put it, some things just cannot be done. I love Janis's music, and it is the most listened "soundtrack" in my car, but I really despise her Porsche. At least it was her daily driver - point taken!

Joel, I owed that to Alexandra. She was a very diligent "modeling pupil". She has a bag of skills and the right attitude - she's going to surpass me quite fast - I cannot wait for it!

Shell, I completely agree - She just didn't know where to look for a good kit and bought the first one at hand. The kit is very bad head to toe - easy to assemble, but nearly impossible to get something proper out of it.

Rowan, thank you in behalf of Alexandra!
Well, she's an accomplished artist, making actually a pretty good living (Romanian standards) out of it and - yes - she've played this match at home!
I wish to thank anyone for the comments in Alexandra's behalf - she's very grateful for your kind words, gentlemen!

Hand-painted! wow, that is impressive. Takes a lot of skill's and must have been a lot of fun to paint.
