Marc.
Ludos for telling us the real story.
Still, your 1965 Honda RA272 really came out looking as it did back in the day. The Off White really looks perfect. And the fuel injection lines and plug wires really adds to your build.
As for the damaged engine cover, just display it as that's the way it would have looked most of the time in the pits, not with the cover on.
I also left the engine cover off my Lotus 25 Coventry Climax, which ran against your RA272 so the engine could be seen with the same idea in mind. The only difference is that the cover is next to the car in it's display.

Thanks Joel. I am really not to worried about the cover.I actually like the look. My Louts Climax... that was the post from 2 1/2 years ago... is the only model I have in a clear display box. Gotta get a double wide, if it exists, to put them side by side.

Beautiful work Marc. Love the added details. Shame about the engine cowl.
I am building this one myself, hope mine turns out, as well as yours.

Marc, very good looking detailing on the engine. As
Joel suggested, the heater accident helps actually displaying the powerplant, which looks impressive and isn't uncommon to have the rear cowling removed in the pit.
