I was finished with what I wanted to get done on my focussed builds tonight, but I was in a contemplative sort of mood, so I made a coffee and stood in front of my stash cupboard wondering what sort of mischief I could get myself into. It didn't take long.







I'm not starting on these kits yet, just mulling over some ideas for a little display, perhaps a trio of cars owned by one person, identical colours, hired out for weddings etc.

They are packed away safely in their boxes now, back in the stash cupboard, while I put some more thought into what direction I might head with them.

As always, thoughts and suggestions very welcome.

D, you are just a glutton for chrome? Love the lines of all three. as a child, I think one of neighbors had a brand new '59 Hardtop. I remember the gloss black and ocean of chrome.

There is a resin wagon body and tub that was made by Star Models, now OOP I believe, that would be a really neat addition to this collection. I will keep an eye on the usual places to see if one pops up for sale by some remote chance.

A gorgeous trio Damian. Some of the best looking cars, of the 50's. The El Camino is the best looking pick up of all times.

If I was to build such a trio, I would build them as follows:

Convertible: Mint, stock, perfect for weddings.

Hardtop: A survivor(Not barn find) Used look, a bit rusty, and warn, but still drivable.

El Camino: Mild custom, low stance, reverse chrome wheels or baby moon hub cabs, both with white wall tires.
