Hi all here is the next victim to my bench I'm sure you all know me well enough to know it will be nothing like the box art.



Glued the tank halves together and made a start on the engine (detail is very crisp) but you need to cut the locating pins off as if you use them the parts dont align up very well (which is strange as once you've cut the pins off they align up perfectly)

Great to see another bike in the mix here Ken, and some very nice details on the large-scale kit!

that's one large scale kit @ 1/9 scale. Should really be one outstanding display piece once finished. So far the engine parts really do look nicely detailed.

You can bet that I'll be along for the ride for sure.

Hi all more progress on this frame painted Ford squeeze green planing on doing the tank and panels yellow with white wheels, but that could all change.

Another update, I decided not to go with white wheels and decided to go with the frame colour also added some of the cables and the carb (dont like the cables far too shiny need to dull them down some how) I really love how the spokes are moulded, some of the best I've ever seen.

That's a great colour for that bike! The engine also looks very sharp though clearly you're in energy saving mode if you don't have your radiators on in the middle of a UK winter.

Hi all work on the front forks, it's quite a complex system, bit like the dampers on older cars(did something similar on the mefistofeles) 

More done to this (front wheel is only added for a look see, lots more to do before its finally added.

You're moving along nicely with this build Ken, coming together really well and I like the colour combination.

Got the handlebars on, nearing the end now.

Hi Ken, looking good! If you think the girders are complicated you should try Vincent Girdraulics! It looks as though the forks either work, or could be made to quite easily? I'd have thought the cylinder on this was probably cast iron, but of course there no reason it shouldn't be painted silver, Norton did this on the Combats, a quick point to help avoid one!

Finally finished, I'm quite pleased with the result.

A couple of small things that stand out to me that could be a quick fix. The last cross-member on the rack has separated in the middle, and the hold-down strap sitting so high across between the bags doesn't look quite right. Maybe this could be replaced with a strip of fabric or painted masking tape?

Well done on getting finished, and thanks for sharing your build progress here. We need to see more 2-wheel action here. I actually dragged my Imai 1/12 Harley Low Rider out of the stash last night just to have a look through the sprues over a nice hot coffee, and seeing your finished build here might even convince me to keep it near the top of the pile.

Ken, To echo what Damian said. Nice work and with the couple fixes she'd be spot on. Maybe a rolled up tarp/sleeping bag under the strap could disguise both issues.

I think I'm going to need to tackle a 1/9 scale bike someday. Done a couple 1/35 German and British WW2 bikes for vignettes.

Great build Ken. I think the colour combinations work well and the weathering is top notch.
