Just needed to share this with my online family.

Yesterday, my 96 year old mother n law who I loved dearly, passed away at the nursing home she's been at for some time. She did develop respiratory systems and a fever, but was never tested for the virus. No one at that home has been tested, and there have been a few other deaths as well, but this is how the virus acts.

We made arrangements yesterday for her to be buried with my father in law at Calverton National Cemetery, but there's a very long waiting list.

While it hasn't been easy watching the last of our parents pass, each has died of a different disease, and each has suffered as the end came. May she finally rest in peace.

Joel, while still consider myself an outsider, compared to many participants in this website I am sorry for your lose. No matter who the family member is it is still a great loss especially if they are a close member. Again sorry for for loss and sympathies to you and the rest of your family.

Joel, my condolences. My parents are gone, my FIL went years ago. Just the mil left and I know that's gonna happen and crush my wife. It hurts, I still think of questions to ask my parents 8 years after they're gone.

I know that doesn't matter the age and expectations, there is never good news and one can never really fully get over it I'm having a knot in my throat right now and the screen it went blurry. To all that continue to post their condolences and wishes. I can't tell you how much your responses means to me. We're coping as best we can under these trying circumstances. Mom is the last of our parents to pass, so by now we know what needs to be done, and honestly, for the last year we've been preparing for this day on all personal fronts.

What we weren't prepared for is her passing during the Pandemic. They locked down the Nursing home before she got sick, so we never got to see her and say good bye. Our local funeral home that we've used before was able to handle her remains, as there's no funeral bruials at this time. Her wishes has always been to be buried with her husband whose at Calverton National Cemetary, and the wait once they start is weeks to months.

Even the cause of death became an issue. Last night at 8pm the county coroner's office called to ask questions about her passing. The Nursing home listed nothing, there was no tests ever done for the virus, etc. We explained the events and they said that they would list it as Natural Causes. So I guess we'll never know for sure.

Again, thank you all so much. I'll always remember you kindness and concerns.
