This is the very old AMT 1929 Ford pickup. I first posted this back in 2008 but Photo bucket pretty much holds your old pics hostage unless you pay for them. Some of you may have seen this already but some have not.
There is almost nothing about this model that has not been modified, the cab has been sectioned to removed about 6 scale inches to help clear the bigger engine, the frame was also stretched about 12 scale inches, lowered suspension, scratch built seats and shifter, Engine was a major conversion as it is an over head valve straight 8, was a 6.
There are many more mods and scratch built items on the kit i will let you guys find them for your self, that's half the fun. All comments welcome.

Thanks guys, Yep Damian i had more fun doing this build than any other.
I would love to get a Rad Rod GB but i don't think we would get enough people to go for it.

Theme #1 on the suggestion list:
1. Chopped and Changed - Modified kits, kitbash builds or scratchbuilding projects.
I think the Rat Rods would fit nicely in there.

Robert,
I'm not a rodding guy by any stretch of the imagination, but I just love your Rat Rod.

Robert, as Joel said, I'm a "saloon" modeler, but when comes about a well executed rust'n crust, I love seen it; and yours it's masterfully done!

Hi Robert,
I'm in the list of people who didn't even know what a rat rod was until I saw your pictures. Looks pretty cool and I admire any model where the builder can scratch build the outcome. Great build.
cheers
Michael

Amazing build Robert. Lots of great details. Personally I would add more dirt to the front tires.
We had one, many years ago. That was a lot of fun.

Thanks guys for all the comments, i like building rat rod models for a few reasons, 1. i just like the way they look, 2. you can be very creative.
