Here's a dragcar i had started over the summer. I'ts Monogram's 1/12 scale 69 camaro. I opened the door and trunk. I scratch built the frame, rollcage, dash and floor pan using Evergreen Plastics.

The Pro Star air shifter and nitro bottle are scratched

And the engine block, oil pan and blower are also scratch built, not the heads and carbs

Sheesh! Your good joe! Looks like the real thing to me. As you can tell by now, I am a Drag racing nut to.
Matter of fact, that is the only type of car that I desire to build. Dang, here I go. I already build Warships, Armor and aircraft. Do I realy need to get back into modeling Drag cars? Well, I more than likely will, LOL!

Nice car Joe!

Tanks Garry, I love dragraing. I raced many years, well about 17 years. Slixx decals have a ton of dragracing decals from the 60's through now. Also have many aftermarket parts. They may still have some Nascar stuff in stock, but they stoped producing due to licenseing.

That's some impressive car modeling. I am surprised by the amount of interest in cars by you 'armor guys'.

Very nice Camaro. Didn't know Monogram made a 1/12 scale Camaro.

Being a big fan of American muscle cars, I am gonna enjoy this new forum.

I have been thinking about posting a few car models, but wasn't sure if it was acceptable her at Armorama. With this new forum, it is.

Joe,
thats some fine looking Camaro!
the 67-69 Camaros are my favourite muscle car (I lean more toward the SS and less toward the RS).
are there any other muscle car kits in this scale? I'm espiceally intrested in an 1/12 model like this of a Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda, a Charger (General Lee livery all the way!) and a Mustang Boss 429 or Mach 1?

Thanks Elad, Monogram did put a few others kits out in 1/2 and 1/8 scale. 63 Corvette- 69 camaro - 82 camaro- the Dukes Charger- 34 Ford and few others. They are hard to find in hobby shops nowadays. I was able to get the camaro through e-bay about 3 years ago. I would first check there. Good luck man.

Thanks Joe, I heard Revellogram reissued the 1/12 Camaro on October this year.
I also hear its quite expensive at 45$ retail price

anyway, good job on that Camaro so far, looks like the ultimate break from military stuff.

I will have to double check, but I think I have the '63 Corvette in 1/12...if I'm not mistaken it came with a "bonus" kit in 1/24 of a '53 Corvette...
