Hello
I am interested in buying and playing around with this car
Because it is my favourite car i feel as if i have to put it in its full well earned glory and because it is a Supra it would probably be a street racing car.
The only problem is the fact that the hood doesn't suit my needs so i am having to build a new hood
I was thinking of the the mongoose hood from need for speed but i cannot find any pics
can anyone help me and tell me how i would go about scratch buidling a new hood??
And does anyone know of a realistic way to create Neon lighting underneath the car??

hey scott, for the neons, maybe some lego fiber optics, tho i am not sure if they'd be the best, i was to old to play around with them when they came out. but just a thought that might work

hmmm.. let me see...
I would probably take the hood, create some wooden templates, glue them on the hood and use that to vac-form a new hood.
As for neon: You could use railway electronics, but I wouldn't be surprised if there would be model neon available somewhere (turn out there isn't )
but this might help

For your neon lighting check around for sheet lighting. Low voltage, no heat and should be easy enough to find. I have seen it in several hobby catalogs. Only drawback I think would be the price. Last time I checked it was rather pricy for what you get. Since you wouldn't need a whole lot, maybe this wouldn't be an issue. Just my .02 worth. "Q"

How about using LEDs. Radio Shack should be a good source of these. They are pretty bright so might do the trick.
