I am having a problem getting the racing stripe decals to sit flat on my Camaro (Revell). The decals seem fairly thick, and I have tried applying loads of Micro Sol and Micro set. There also seems to be a lot of air bubbles. Any help would be appreciated.

Ah those thick, stiff Revell decals, hello Tom. Yeah those decal are terrible, especially if your putting them on the R/S sport hood. As for the air bubbles, take a pin and poke into the bubble, using a q-tip work the air out. Many years of building those cars I had some sort of problem or another. I found that it was easier just to paint on the strips. Using 3M painters masking tape, layed it out and sprayed. Just make sure your base coat as dried at least 4-5 days. Sometimes you may have to cut the decal in sections and place them, kinda like a puzzle. There are some on-line web sites that cater to car modeling that carry thin colored decal sheets. I think Slixx.com has them and some even carry race car stripping.

Thanks for the help Joe. I think I've finally got the decals to sit sort of flat, but next time I will probably try painting them or maybe use a different decal.
