This is my 2006 Revell Mustang GT I started. It been painted in Cobra Colors Tungsten Grey with clear coat. I fouled up my first model, first time painting with automotive lacquer finishes. I do have to say it does come out impressive once you learn how to paint with them and I'm impressed with the shine..and I haven't even polished it yet!...that will be done next week after letting everything harden up for a week or so.

This will the miniature version of the 1/1 Scale Mustang GT I ordered back on December 12th. The only problem I have is I need to find 18in "bullet" wheels since the kit ones aren't the same.

Excellent paintjob Scott. Nice and smooth.
I hope you can find the wheels.

Looking forward to see more progress shots. Pictures of the 1/1 Mustang will be welcome as well.

Here is some work done on the interior

I haven't gotten a good clear shot of the Dark IUP to match up with yet, so this was a best guess/match with what I've seen

The overall interior is Tamiya Semi-gloss black mixed with dark grey. Flat black from the Vallejo line up is used on the Radio/HVAC Controls. The IUP trim is a mix of Semi-gloss black with Chrome Silver. The Red Seats is Tamiya Flat Red. I did the detailing with a very small paint brush and Vallejo white, blue and red. Titanium silver from the Tamiya line up is what the steering wheel spokes and vent centers are painted with Bare Metal Foil used around the vents to simulate the chrome color.

I lost both of the stick shifts I had to tweezer launch...I have to scratch build one now

That is one good looking interior. The dash is quit impressive.

Do you have plans for a little wash, on the sets, to give them a little more depth?

Heres an update...I still need to spray the hood...I manged to screwup the first one since I spilled some clearcoat on it when I was clear coating the finish. I also have to add some decals to the engine compartment and double check what else I need to paint in the engine compartment vs the real thing.

Still no word when the 1:1 scale one will be here

You lucky guy

I drool when looking at your model, not to mention the real thing. Nothing more to say, seen the original on the street once, had my legs softened, your scale monster looks great too.

Cheers

On a side note. Scott when you get her. Make sure to check out the hood. Mine when i would go down the highway at about 70-80 (highway) and i would pass a semi or something that created alot of wind and uplift. the hood would bounce around, it is a little scary. But they will fix it if that happens. Other than that it is a great car. just remember that if you want to show off her power to turn off the TCS, if you dont you will be embarrassed, as that will take all the power from the rear wheels and you will just jurk down the road instead of haul @#$.

Yes, Jeremy we are drooling. I'm also weeping, because a car like that cost approximately 110 000 US$ here in Denmark.

I also found out that the Dark IUP isnt 100% correct on my model...but its close enough

Well back from the dead here..well I fowled up my hood on the scale model and haven't gotten around to contacting Revell about getting a replacement.

In other news, I got my 1 to 1 scale Mustang GT last night and here is a somewhat crappy photo of it...

Mine was just under $29K, but since my father worked for Ford I got a discount that dropped the price to about 26K. Only thing I didnt get is alarm (forgot) and a automatic transmission.

That's less than a 1/4 of the price in Denmark.

For 26K i could get the smallest Fiat or Kia. That's so unfair.
