Folks
I've been thinking for a while about a campaign for civvy trucks, anything non military from 1:76 to 1:16 scale. Anyone interested?

Cheers

I've actually been thinking of building a nice shiny yellow 2004 Ford F-150 like the one in my driveway. Was gonna do it anyway eventually......may as well get a ribbon out of it.
Get it sorted out and I'm in.

I recently joined the group and definitely would build a truck if the campaign goes ahead... just to decide if it'd be a big one or a little one.

I was initially thinking of "proper trucks" :-) :-). but I think I'll amend it to any 4 (or more) wheel civilian vehicle that is purposely built to carry a load from Land Rovers and pickup trucks right thru (If someone is brave enough or rich enough) to your average Australian Road train. Entries can be just a working vehicle or a complete custom job. And with a view to the cost of some kits in scales 1:32 and above just a tractor unit will be ok.

Do passengers count as a load carrying vehicle or just beer barrels?..... :-)

Lol nice one Dave, I like it. Unfortunately the only live cargo vehicles allowed are those carrying livestock.

Boy the things you can find in the latest post page.
I’m already in a few upcoming campaigns so I’ll have to wait until you come up with a date before I’ll know if I can join.
Just one question. Would a monster truck count? I know I have one of them buried back on the shelf from way back when.
Depending on the start date I may not be able to pick up a real truck in time.

Sorry no prisoners.
I would say that a monster truck is ok as long as it's a pickup body.

Well, I guess it's back to the drawing board for my Airfix bus.....
Hey maybe something wild and customized.... full blown hemi, mag wheels, few keggers, and some beach babes, tapping the keg, beach buffs flexing.....
ok... back to reality...... search the web for Dennis Trucks to convert it to........ :-)

How about an El Camino? It's got 4 wheels and it's made to carry a load. I want to put an El Camino bed on a GTO front. Can this be for your Civvie Trucks Campaign?

Peter, since I don't know what an "Australian Road Train" is, I may be asking the obvious, or already-answered. Tractor-trailers? I'm working on a flatbed trailer for some construction equipment to go on, but will wait to start the tractor if it qualifies.
Cheers!

Peter,
I'd be VERY interested if it starts AFTER May (and goes for a few months). Not sure what I'd build, but it would be VERY different from OD, guns, and stars. I'd enjoy it as it would be a fun change for me.
Mhhhhmmmmmmmm, something shiney!!!! I'd even go searching for a Ford Ranchero!!! Or, how about an Escachero?!?!??!!!??! (That would be my '94 Escort Wagon mounted on a Vega frame, with the back "chopped." Esc(Escort)achero(Ranchero)....hehehhehe....already looking for the Vega frame (1:1 scale!).
