Ok people - what time period of car design do you like. I just had a conversation about the Mustang. We talked about the the styling and it struck me that Iike the new version of an old classic. So here''s the question - what decade is your favorite? You can go from a modeling perspective or 1:1 perspecitve either way, join in the talk.

Hi Scott,
Interesting question, and one with perhaps many anwsers as I think each decade brings something different and new to auto-design.
Personally, if I had to narrow down my fav era's I'd end up with the '20's as being my favourite era for cars.
I think if I had to nominate a worse decade for car design it would be a tie between the '70s and '80s. I just do not find the cars of this period aesthetically pleasing at all. But each to their own, hey?

Oh yea - the 70 80's are really lack luster in design. All the cars were very flimsy and it seemed hastily designed.
I'd say I like a lot from the 60's and then a few recently from the late 2000

No option for pre 1910 ?????
Anyway, I have chosen the 50's ( 1950 - 1960 ) even though they jumped the shark in 57 ( after 57, every car got double headlights and the fins just got tooooooo large ).
There have been some neat cars made during every decade though.

I went for the 30-40's, I like the wire wheels, fenders etc.
Earlier is fine with me also, as are the 40 to mid 50's. Sorry not into the "muscle car" era. Prefer the older classics.

Well, as the resident GTO freak, I am really partial to the musclecar era. '65-'72 GM is my fave, but Chrysler and Ford had some beauts,
You asked, I answered.
Groovy, man.

For me, it's probably the 1930's! So many gorgeous luxury cars that are total classics were built then.
My favourite car the I've owned has got to be my first, a 1982 Honda Prelude. I loved that car..........................
