Hear are a few pics of the Interceptor from the Mad Max and the road Warrior films. The model did not have an engine and the hood was molded to the body, the hood had to be cut out and everything under the hood was either kit bashed or scratch built, the engine and trans are from a 1970 Mustang as are some of the other parts. This was a fun build, any and all commnents welcome.

Real sharp looking. Great job on the engine, your detail work is excellent. Who made the kit, or is it something you bashed togather. The body sort of looks like a AMX Javlin. Oh yeah...love the blower hat.

How about a base, doing one. It would like super in a small junk yard theme. Coragated fencing, barbed wire, cars parts like doors and tires and some barrels.

Gday rv
That looks a beaut!
Suitably weather-beaten and hard-driven...
MAd Max was filmed all around where I live (ok, so a few kms in any given direction!)
Any chance of scratchbuilding Max or Goose? Maybe Toecutter :-)

That looks awesome.

In response to Brad's suggestion a a guy on aussie ebay sells a 1/25 Mad Max - the figure looks a little rough but i'm sure you could make into something nice after seeing your workmanship.

Love it ! (and I'm not a car person at all)

Thanks Joe i really had a god time with this build, the kit is by Aoshima 1/24 scale the blower hat came with the kit but i had to modify another drive unit from a firebird kit as the old one would have left the blower sitting under the hood when attached to the engine, a little history on the movie car it is an Australian Ford Falcon i belieive around 1974 i will consider the dio idea sounds interesting, thanks Bradley, and thanks Andy i will check on that ebay figure it should go good with the car.

Very cool build Robert. The bashed and scratchbuild parts under the hood looks great. The weathering is just spot on.
Thanks for sharing this mean looking vehicle.

Thanks Jesper, and Andy i really am pleased at the result of this build because it only took about 1 week to complete, it is a good kit but a bit expensive at $39.99 at the LHS, you may do better online.
