Hello to all the muscle car fans out there i am looking for any info you can give me on an Autralian muscle car called the Holden Monaro years 1968-1970, i would like to build a 1/25-24 scale model of this car and i don't think one was ever made, i know they used the general motors engines and trans missions but what kind of chassis a full frame like a chevelle or GTO or a unit body like a Camero or Nova, if anyone has any good data like length, width, height interior pictures that would help then i could scale it to some of the american car kits, this will be a major undertaking but it should be a fun project.

Neat looking car...the early version looks like the old signets or valiants that ran around here and the newer version looks like my old 71' vega on steroids.

I agree it is a cool looking car and i have made some progress with the fact finding, the Monaro has a 111 inch wheel base just like the Chevy Nova its weight is almost the same and it make use of the same drive train components, the hood is almost flat with a small ridge down the middle like the late 60's Nova and the interior looks like a cross between the Nova and Camaro and accident i think not, either the Camaro/Firebird or Nova Should be a good starting base for this car, the search for info goes on.

I found a few data in the '69 an '70 Revue automobile.

Engines: I asume you will build it with a V8. The easiest engines to find, will no doubt be the 327 available in 1969, for the Monaro GTS or the 350 which was available from 1970 also for the GTS.

Lengt: 469,5 cm
Hight: 139 cm
Width: 182,5 cm
Wheelbase 282 cm
Track width: 145/145 cm in '69. 147,5/147,5 cm in 1970
Weight: 1495 Kg. for the 327 and 350
Height from ground to bottom of car: 18,5 cm

I'll keep digging. here are more data in my books, but these particular books are in german and french. Some data I need to have translated.
