How does it feel working with such a small area to paint?

You mean the bike in general to paint?
It’s much easier; you don’t get any over spray etc... Makes it easy to get a nice finish lol.

Yea - the amount of space for painting is reduced compared to a car. I'm just used to seeing a huge hood or roof of glassy shine when I see your name in the LP list. I'm sure this will be just as good, just a different shape.

Hey James,
Sick bike man

It's the new Revell kit right... I saw one at the hobbyshop last night, now I'm wishing I bought it. Did you add the drag bar or did it come with it. So what color Scheme you doing, anything radical. Can't wait to see more, cool start.

thanks!, this is the "crusader" kit form revell.
The drag bars I made from tubing. Also the front forks were stripped of the chrome plating, painted black, and then I added Bare Metal Foil to the top parts of the forks.
I’m going with a black frame, a dark red metallic on the tin work, and aluminum engine and parts, no other chrome.
like this bike, only in my own style. i might go with spoke wheels to im not sure yet.
I modified the seat so it sits against the frame and then covered it in leather.

Looking really good so far James. Black and dark red metallic paintjob, sounds like a killer combo.

Nice work so far.
I personally like the spoke wheels a bit better.

I love the black spokes and chrome rims. I'd stay with these too.

The black spoke/chrome rim wheels are way too cool.

Wow…I was leaning for the other set of rims, now that the paint is on I’d say you made the right choice. She look good and will look sick when it’s finished. Great job James.

Great job, keep the rims. My first reaction was, naw.. the chrome spoked, but with the paint job looks very cool. What is this kit again? Do all of the different rims and stuff like that come with the kit? Might look into this...

I'll jump in and vote now for the yellow/optional pipes. I like the straighter line it has. I think it will look good with the straighter (up) tank and the straightness of the spokes.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitly look into these kits...
I take it the engine isn't up to par, or do you do resin because you changed some things so the kit engine doesn't fit? Silly question maybe, but inquiring minds need to know
