I always liked the look of this car. so I picked up the Revell kit!
tires/wheels painted up
the red I used looks like a close match to the decals, only the decals are somewhat transparent and they look a little darker where they overlap the paint, I didn’t know until it was to late lol still not really to noticeable!:p

That's an agressive body style. Can't wait to see the finished build.
In the photos the color difference is not noticeable at all.
At this point the body looks more boat/plane like than automobile - kitbashing anyone?

Great decal work.
Those seam lines look very dark and agressive. Are they going to get toned down a bit as you go?

aaahhhh much better, still dark as you like, but to me they are much better with the thin coat of gray.
Nice detail on the back end too.

You've managed to blend the red paintjob and the decal, in the front, very well. It can hardley be seen, in the pictures.
As always splendid job on the tires/wheels.
I really like the look of the exhaust tips.

Hi James,
Great looking Toyota, I'm envious of your build speed and your dedication to racing in general. You seem to build all types without bias. Looking forward to seeing more of McNish's Toyota.
P.S. when I quickly read the post heading, I thought you where building the GT1 from LeMans!
Frank
