well nascar is back and it made me feel like startin a new car lol

I"ll make Jr's 2006 ride .

some progress so far,
new side skirts, spoiler, and some welds

the seat, he uses an all black seat which is cool and easy to make to lol!
i flocked the seat, and made new leg supports and added foam on them , also added bolt heads

I made a new way of doing the bars, I assembled the areas most visible on the finished model this way they are nice and clean etc. and where the side bars will join is not even visible on the finished model so I think this is the best way, plus it makes it easy to add details inside the interior now.

Added the roll bar padding

And some engine hoses, the braided lines is some stuff I found at the dollar store, seems to look pretty good! and the AN fittings I make from aluminum. and the power steering line is just some blue wire i had

NASCAR is back and the penalties are up (in real life)!

Nice looking build so far James, nice to see the engine work. I like the roll bar concept.

James, Nice to see a WIP from ya. We never get to see your engine work and, as I assumed, it's awesome! Mui Bien!

What do you use as rollbar padding? It looks awesome.

lol no prob! you could also use heat shrink tubing to

well I hought I would add a kool box in this one.
I made it form some scrap plastic and covered in cigarette foil.
I also made the hoses from solder and wire painted black.

It’s not finished yet I still have to finish the base and add some electrical wires

Man, James, you come up with some great applications for everyday scraps. As a smoker, I come across the cigarette paper twice a day and never thought to use it. I'm glad your relating the processes more, you're a modeler similar ( I think "better") to me whereas you probably grab a lot of do-hickies just laying around as potential parts, added to models later!

Keep up the work-in-progress threads, you have many gems to pass on I think.
