Well, here is something out of the left field from Revell of Germany. At the start of 2017, RoG announced it will be releasing the second generation Porsche Panamera as well as the smaller Porsche Junior 108 (which is a tractor). This was indeed surprising news but great news nonetheless.

Here's another great project that I look forward to seeing from BeeMax. Over the last week, Thanksgiving week to us Americans, BeeMax announced and teased us with digital 3D models of one of their future releases. One of those cars that rally enthusiasts have been wishing for for many years, the Lancia Delta S4 along with the Audi Quattro Coupe are both in progress at BeeMax.

Well, this kit definitely came out of the left field. Hobby Design previewed in 1/43rd scale Captain Nemo's car from the movie League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
The kit is made in resin but it is highly detailed as depicted by the built photos. The photo etched parts make great engraved pieces for the hood (bonnet, trunk (rear hatch) as well as the front grill. Take a look at the photos for yourself and see what you think.

Various wheel sets have been extremely popular with the aftermarket tuner model kit builders as of late. With the introduction of the low profile tires into scale models, tons of the younger builders have purchased sets by the cases so that they can modify cars in 1/24 scale.

Well folks, here is another teaser of the Lamborghini Diablo GT soon to be released in 1/24 scale by Aoshima. This should come as no surprise to many of us following the news from Aoshima as they have released many progress photos of the Diablo GT from CAD to rapid prototyping. Now they release photos of a fully built prototype. Don't mind the loose fitting parts and the cloudy clear parts as they will require more work to clean up. This prototype is simply used as a tool to show us what a built up example would look like in the near future.

This is definitely something a little out of the ordinary and different from the super cars, race cars and muscle cars that we typically see. Another release coming from ZoomOn Models to celebrate it's 2 year anniversary is the Honda Accord Euro R in 1/24 scale. Perhaps one of the lesser known Honda "Type Rs", the Accord Euro R does a nice job of combining luxury, performance and in a lightweight package.

Hobby Design is back yet again with another release for September. This time with the ever popular RWB Porsche 911 (993) widebody transkit. Although personally I am a big fan of the traditional OEM Porsche widebodies, the RWB kits definitely have a presence to them.

Breaking news! Tamiya will be releasing the new Acura NSX (or is it still a Honda NSX) in 1/24 scale later this year. The new NSX is the successor to the original although a lot has changed in the last 2 decades since the production of the original first started. This time around, the NSX will be AWD, a Hybrid and an automatic only. However, these differences do not hinder the car's overall performance and enjoyment at all.

A recent teaser popped up on BeeMax's facebook page of something that a lot of us have been waiting for. Although resin variations have been made in the past, fans of this car have been hoping for a mainstream styrene kit.

Yet another release from Hobby Design. This time, it is the Rocket Bunny ND Mazda MX-5 widebody kit. Although the Mazda MX-5 was released last year, it still appears to be a popular subject for aftermarket companies and kit makers as well.

Recently there has been a lot of small pop up model companies that flooding the transkit market with awesome products like never before. One of these companies is ZoomOn Models. What really brought the company into the spot light was their collaboration with EightyOne when they released the FD2 Civic Type R as well as the FD2 Mugen RR. These two resin kits were very well detailed and to date, no mainstream kitmaker has produced these two awesome subjects. Anyway they are back with another great release.
