Operational Overview
2006 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Suez conflict! We will commemorate this with a campaign here on Armorama!

The conflict included an extensive variety of early jets (and late props) from a wide range of countries. These are arguably some of the most beautiful - and coolest! - aircraft ever built. Just go through the list of aircraft that participated in the conflict, and tell me (honestly!) that your mouth does not drool and that your fingers don't start itching! The Rules and Regs
The rules will be very simple. You may enter any aircraft participating in the conflict (and marked as such) in any scale. You may choose English, French, Israeli or Egyptian aircraft. Historical accuracy is key!

I will try to be very generous with the rules, and even though it is an aircraft campaign, ground targets are accepted! Them Egyptians had some mean looking, Soviet made tanks and self propelled guns in 1956! Further, peace keeping units from UNEF I are allowed.

The campaign will start on April 28th and end on the eve of the 50th anniversary, i.e. the 28th of October (when the first kill was made by an Israeli Meteor NF.Mk 13). IMPORTANT NEWS: Entry time has been extended until the 31st of December!!!

Contest Element
A bronze ribbon for anyone that completes one entry. A "silver" for two or more entries (single or multiple nationalities) and the "gold" for a Grand Slam, i.e. at least one subject from each of the four involved nations!
